Casey's Kids Volunteer Interest Meeting

For 30 years, Casey's Kids has been an annual tradition hosted by the Keller Council of PTAs, bringing together students, families, schools and community members for an event focused on health, wellness, and giving back. Now, organizers are preparing to celebrate three decades of the event with a special 30th anniversary celebration. As planning gets underway, the Keller Council of PTAs is inviting parents, community members, local businesses, runners, volunteers, and Keller ISD supporters to join the planning team and help make this milestone celebration one to remember. The 30th Anniversary Casey's Kids 5K/Fun Run andHealth and Wellness Expowill offer a variety of opportunities for community members to get involved. Volunteers can lend their time and expertise in areas including vendors, sponsors, race route coordination, awards and medals, race packets, event-day volunteers and entertainment. Committee members may help recruit local vendors and sponsors, ensure the race route is clear and properly marked, coordinate awards and medals, organize race packet pickup, coordinate volunteers or help plan and manage entertainment for the event. The anniversary is also an opportunity to honor the history and legacy of Casey's Kids and Mrs. Janie Casey, while continuing a tradition that has supported Keller ISD students and families for three decades. Those interested in learning more about volunteer opportunities are invited to a come-and-go Volunteer Interest Meeting from 5-7 p.m.Tuesday, August25. The meeting will be held in the KISD Education Center Alamo Room (350 Keller Parkway, 76248) . Attendees should enter through the Teacher Training Center doors on the eastern side of the building (off of College Street South).
