Suicide Prevention Month: Let's Taco 'bout QPR

To wrap up Suicide Prevention Month, please join the Keller ISD Counseling Departmentto learn the tools to save a life from suicide at "Let's Taco 'bout QPR" presented by The Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation from 6-8 p.m. September 30 in the Timber Creek High School cafeteria located at 12350 Timberland Blvd., Fort Worth, 76244. QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) is a FREE, evidence-based training that teaches everyday people how to: * Recognize warning signs of suicide * Offer hope to someone in crisis * Connect them with the help they need Whether you're a parent, teacher, coach, counselor, youth leader, or simply a caring neighbor, this training will equip you to make a life-saving difference. You'll also learn about the mission of The Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation, providing hope to those struggling with depression and suicide--while enjoying FREE TACOS with your community.Tacos for the evening will be generously donated by Elote Mexican Kitchen. Did you know suicide is the second leading cause of death for ages 10-44? And youth are especially at risk? Our community is not immune, which is why it's vital that parents, caregivers, and anyone who works with young people know how to step in when it matters most.
