KISD Go Red Day
Description
Keller ISD will celebrate Go Red Day on Friday, February 28, as we join with school districts across the state in supporting the American Heart Association.
KISD will compete with other districts to raise funds for the American Heart Association and raise awareness of heart disease and stroke. Go Red Day is nationally recognized as the first Friday in February, but the American Heart Association has designated Friday, February 28, specifically as a Go Red Day for school districts.
Heart disease and stroke are two top killers among Americans. You can help support the American Heart Association by donating $25 or more and receiving a commemorative Go Red T-shirt. Donations needed to be made by February 7 to receive a shirt in time for Go Red Day on February 28. Please note, only adult T-shirt sizes (S-3X) are available.
To donate, text KELLERISDGIVES to 41444. Funds raised will support initiatives to improve blood pressure outcomes and empower health management in at-risk communities.
Snack baskets will be awarded to the school with the highest participation and the most funds raised.
