Keller ISD Closed (Juneteenth)

Keller ISD campuses and administrative offices will be closed Thursday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth National Independence Day. Juneteenth is a federal holiday commemorating the ending of slavery in the United States, and is recognized each June 19. Deriving its name from the combination of the words "June" and "nineteenth," it is celebrated on the anniversary of the June 19, 1865, order proclaiming freedom for slaves in Texas. It was designated as a federal holiday in 2021, thanks to the efforts of many, including Fort Worth's own Opal Lee.
